Jakić family is made of 3 generations, a mother with 2 daughters and a son who is married and has a small child. The part of the family tradition maintained by Jakić family is husbandry, as well as bee keeping, you can see it for yourself when you visit the household. Also, they grow fruit and vegetables, as every rural household.
The family has a lot of cattle to their name, they keep cows, sheep, pigs and hens. They make dairy products throughout the year, as well as meat, which they use themselves. Besides the house, the family owns a large garden where they grow all the vegetablesthat prosper in the region. They have also got an orchard next to the house whose fruits they use every fall for making different juices and jams. They produce a certain quantity of honey every year, it depends on the weather conditions of the previous summer. But, it is a special joy for young Jugoslav.
Jakić household is situated in the place called Dobra Sela, close to Šavnik. This region abounds in rivers, some of them are Tušnja, Bijela and Komarnica. All the rivers are less than 10 km away from the household. So, the visitors can enjoy the waterfalls and bathing areas of Bijela river, but also the extreme sports in the canyon of the river Komarnica – Nevidiocanyon. There are two monasteries from the XII century close by too, Podmalinsko Monastery and Bijela Monastery, some 3-4 km away from the household. National park Durmitor is on the one side of the household and mountains Vojnik and Vjetropark on the other, all in the area of some 10 km.
