Ćirović family lives in the village Odžak, close to Pljevlja. This household is very proud for the facts that they’ve kept their 100-year-old watermill and their traditional village life. The household is made of Slobodan and Rajka with their daughters. Slobodan is a miller, he enjoys his job there, he looks after the farm and, when animals are concerned, he likes sheep and ducks the most.

Rajka is a housewife. She loves to cook, she grows various vegetables in their garden and she makes all kinds of delicacies from buckwheat and hulled wheat flour. She has perfected her recipe for buckwheat pie, which is a real delight in taste. Also, she makes cheese and clotted cream, she has even received special recognition from the municipality for her semi-hard cheese.

Their daughter Bojana helps them a lot in farm works. She has finished university in Podgorica but she doesn’t give up on her homeland. She advocates for the promotion of the mill and its values. She would like to introduce the importance of the village to young people. She is outgoing and communicative, and she always has her morning coffee in the mill. She shares her family story on social networks and is supported by a large number of people.

Ćirović family grows cereals on their farm (buckwheat, hulled wheat, rye) and they grind it in their mill. They keep cows, sheep, pigs, hens, cats and a dog, too. They produce all types of vegetables in their garden and the cattle gives them milk for dairy products.
