Tijanić family lives in the village called Skakavac, near Berane. They are new to rural tourism, rookies to say, but they are certainly experienced in welcoming guests, gathering extended family from all over the country, and everyone likes visiting them. They produce everything they can on their farm, fruit and vegetables, potato and corn and they keep cattle and make cheese themselves. They are the first village family that started working in rural tourism, and it’s a right move since Skakavac has a lot to offer.

Tijanić family is into husbandry. They keep cows and sheep on the farm. They’ve also got a garden where they grow the vegetables they need. There’s an orchard there, too and they produce jams, juices and preserve. Furthermore, they make their own brandy. If you visit the household at the right period, you can take part in the activities happening at the farm and in the household.

The village is home to a newly renovated old mill situated next to the fantastic waterfall, which the village was named after. The water forming this waterfall comes from a cave and there are three caves in the area which have been examined and recorded by the speleologists. The remnants of the medieval town Bihor are situated above the village, but, unfortunately, it is not ready for tourist’s visits. Nevertheless, if you are interested to see what it looks like, you are free to visit it. And finally, a recently renovated monastery Uroševica is also close to the village, its special feature is that it can only be reached on foot. Hosts can accompany you and show you the points of interest in this attractive, scenic village.
