The Bojić family lives in the village of Plan, No. 5, and during the summer, they stay at the Potrk katun on Sinjajevina mountain. Three generations live in the household – grandmother Krstina, her daughter Sanja and son-in-law Ranko, and their three children: Nemanja, who is a primary school teacher, Aleksandar, a hospitality professional, and daughter Anđela, a pharmacist. The children stay with their parents and always help with the tasks in the rural household. They live in the countryside and are engaged in agriculture and livestock farming. Guests are always welcome and can get to know the rural way of life.

The primary activity of the Bojić family is livestock and agriculture. They raise about 20 cows, 30 chickens, and 5 pigs. They produce the widely known and branded Kolašin layered cheese (lisnati sir), kajmak, eggs, meat, and various homemade foods.

They own fields and an orchard where they grow onions, carrots, parsley, leeks, beets, raštan (collard greens), chard, cabbage, potatoes, beans, green beans, corn, peas, tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers. From the fruits, they have apples, pears, and plums, as well as strawberries and raspberries, which they use to make homemade juices, jams, and brandy.

They also produce honey, brandies with medicinal herbs, as well as teas picked on the mountain.

Guests can always participate in these activities themselves.

The rural household is located about 15 km from the town of Kolašin, where visitors can visit the town center, the square, churches, restaurants, and get to know the local culture. In the immediate vicinity, about 20 km away, is Lake Biograd, which is part of the national park and represents one of the most beautiful natural attractions in Montenegro.

The household is closest to the Jablanov Vrh peak (2023 m above sea level), and nearby are the peaks Veliki and Mali Gusar. Along the way, you can visit the Bistrica spring, from where locals get drinking water. The view from Ždrijelo is particularly beautiful, as is the viewpoint located about a 10-minute easy walk from the katun, offering a wonderful view of the village of Lipovo, the town of Kolašin, and the peaks of the Komovi and Bjelasica mountains.

Ćirović family lives in the village Tušina, Šavnik municipality. This is one of the typical families of the region where people still practice taking cattle up to the katun. Vaso and his wife Dragmila are at the katun most often and it is situated on a beautiful location, on Sinjajevina but still close to Durmitor, while their son Radojica spends time in the village. The basic income source and primary activity of the family is agriculture.

Primary activity of Ćirović family is agriculture, more exactly husbandry and they also produce traditional, mountain cheese. Of course, they grow complete food ingredients for themselves and for their guests, so they have their own vegetables, potato, corn, fruit. They make different regional products from these fruit and vegetables, such as jams, juices, preserve, brandy and so on, and vegetables is used in making winter stores.

Ćirović household is situated close to the river Bukovica, thriving with trout, and it can be swum in this river during summer months. A museum – house of Novica Cerović is placed 2 km away from the Ćirović household, and some 10 km away, you come upon Durmitor National Park and the famous Nevidio canyon. Sinjajevina, the mountain where they take their cattle during summer, is also close by, and you can experience traditional way of katun life here. Both Sinjajevina and Durmitor have a whole network of mountain and biking trails, and the Panoramic Road passes though the village.

Vuković family lives in the village called Štitarica, right next to the local road, beside Štitarička river. Branislav and his wife Zlatana live on the family farm while their three children, Djordje, an architect, Pavle, a forensic and Ksenija, year three law student, live on the relation village-town. Besides rural tourism, the family is into fruit growing and healthy food production. They have inherited the tradition from their parents. Thus, guests visiting this household can enjoy not only the healthy ecological environment but also the organic products grown in traditional way.

Primary activity of Vuković family is fruit growing but they’ve also got a garden where they grow vegetables, for themselves and for their guests. They produce juices and jams, preserves, brandy, various salads and vegetables (potato, onion, carrot, peppers, and beetroot). They have raspberry and strawberry fields, too. If you happen to visit at the right time, you can take part in these activities.

Vuković family is situated in the village Štitarica, at the foothill of the mountain Sinjajevina. The village is placed between Mojkovac and Kolašin, and it is 3 km away from the highway. Biogradsko lake is 6 km away from the household, and the Tara river is some 3 km away. Štitarica is considered one of the most charming villages in Montenegro due to its nature. There is a church built in 1896 located in the village as well as a school which was built in 1910.

There’s also a marked hiking and biking trail leading from the village to Sinjajevina that will take you to the Ružicachurch and it offers a great view to the surrounding area. The household also hosts some spontaneous routes, great for an easy stroll beside river, through the meadows and forest with some excellent rest points and viewpoints. Sport fishing is allowed on the river, with daily license from the local fishing club that can be provided if demanded by the guest.

Medojević family lives in the hamlet Kaludra (village Bistrica), within the valley of the river Tara. Djoko and his wife Velka live on the farm, while their three children, Ivana, an architect, Ivan and Zoran, programmers, live on the relation village – town. The family has carried on the tradition of working in agriculture. Djoko’s parents used to engage in nomad husbandry and take their cattle to the katunKonate on Sinjajevina. It was even something that Djoko did with his family for many years. Today, in the spirit of the time they live in, Medojević family members try to enhance the agriculture with tourism, as well as some other activities they are interested in.

Primary activity of Medojević household is husbandry, but they have also got a garden and an orchard where they grow vegetables and fruit for them, their friends and guests, as well as a small apiary. They produce dairy products, honey, juices, jams, liqueurs and various salads and vegetable products. The assortment is various depending on the year’s abundance and fertility. Besides agriculture, Djoko is also into crafts. As a carpenter, he spends his free time making gusle, a traditional music instrument, then carving wood and making wood furniture. His works can be seen at www.gusle.me. A proof that other activities can be done in village, besides agriculture, is the fact that Ivan and Zoran have registered their programming company THEM , short of The Medojević, there.

Medojević household is situated in the valley of the river Tara, just a breath away from the entrance to the canyon, 15 km away from Mojkovac in the direction of Žabljak. The lowland part of the farm, some 500 m long, reaches the bank of the river Tara, which is the home of the largest and deepest canyon in Europe, second in size in the world and known as the Tear of Europe. Sport fishing is allowed on the river, with the daily license of the local fishing club, which can be provided at the guest’s demand. There are some spontaneous walking routes at the farm, along the river, through the meadows and forest, with lots of resting points and viewpoints. If you go upstream from the farm, some 10 minutes of walk through the forest, you will come upon the old suspension bridge that connects Kaludra to Gostilovina, which is the only vehicular bridge situated downstream from Mojkovac until you reach the bridge on Lever Tara. And if you move on, the roads from the other side of the bridge will take nature lovers and mountaineers towards Prošćenske mountains. National Park Durmitor is in the immediate proximity of the household. Some important locations to visit in the Mojkovac part of the national park are CrnaPoda, a black pine virgin forest, where you’ll see pines that are 400 years old in average, the forest is 8 – 9 km away; village Dobrilovina, some 13 km away, is the home to Dobrilovina Monastery, built in the 15 century; and finally Zabojsko lake is 23-25 km away. National Park Biogradska Gora and Biogradsko lake are 22 km away from the household.

Rabrenović family household is situated in the village DonjaPolja no 33, close to Mojkovac. A six-member family and three generations live there: the oldest member is granny Savka, then there’s her son and the host Goran with his wife Slavenka and their three children. The family is into agriculture, husbandry and they have presently dedicated their skills to promoting healthy lifestyle and the importance of village. Goran’s father and grandfather were into wood processing and so he inherited the craft and works with wood a lot.

Primary activities of the household are offering accommodation to tourists and promoting homemade food and life in the mountains. Handmade houses, organic garden and an orchard can be found on the farm.

The stress is on an active stay, and it includes various activities, such as mountaineering, rafting, paragliding, jeep safari, Moto biking, canyoning, caving, Nordic skiing. However, the objective is to link these activities with ethnographic features and promotion of traditional cuisine and traditional dishes and crafts.

Rabrenović Camp is situated next to the river Bistrica which flows into the river Tara, between three mountains, Sinjajevina, Bjelasica and Prošćenska mountain and in the area between two national parks Biogradska Gora and Durmitor. On account of the river Tara, this area is UNESCO protected, as well.

There is a mountain trail leading from the camp, which passes next to the two water springs and mostly through the forest, to the Mountain Lodge, rising 1,629 m above sea level and Obsjenica Peak, 1749 MAMSL, where a viewpoint is situated offering a panoramic view to the river Tara, surrounding mountains and the town Mojkovac. If you feel adventurous, you can try paragliding from Obsjenica Peak and enjoy this tourist attraction. Also, the mountain can be reached via jeep safari or Moto biking. There are two jeeps available at the camp, then 10 mountain bikes, one motorbike, 8 snow shoes, 10 tents, 10 sleeping bags and 10 pairs of skis. National parks offer different zones for tourist visits regulated by categories, from easy strolls to alpinism.

Vuković family lives in the village Štitarica. There are 6 members in the household, grandparents Vesa and Zoran, with their son and daughter in law and two grandchildren.

The family grows fruit and vegetables. They are nature lovers, their special love is the mountain Sinjajevina. Their main activities include making jams, juices and homemade dishes, everything is done in old, traditional way. Also, they enjoy spending time in nature, they collect herbs and mushrooms and they use these for making homemade teas and various mushroom specialties.

Štitarica village is only 6 km away from Mojkovac, but it is completely hidden within the loveliness of the Štitarička river, the glades on the slopes of the mountain Sinjajevina. It is situated close to the National park Biogradska gora (6 km away), on the mountain Bjelasica. The village is ideal for relaxation and enjoyment in various activities nearby, for example fly fishing zones on the river Tara (a couple of kilometers away). The town of Mojkovac has a lot to offer to people doing sports, it is surrounded by several hiking and biking trails, paragliding location and it abounds in cultural and historic monuments (Brskovo town).

Puletić family lives in the village called Gornje Lipovo. There are two people living in the household, Milinko and his wife Milijanka. They have been into tourism for five years. They welcome domestic and foreign tourists and their offer includes homemade specialties and stunning nature.

This is the right place to be for all the people whose hobby is cooking, the place easily reached by car or bike, simply following the winding but simple country road, along the valley. Here, you can learn how to use dairy products in a homemade cuisine – and then to taste them.

Village household Puletić is located below the mountain Sinjajevina. The center of Kolašin is 12 kilometers away from the household and it offers a lot of winter attractions. Biogradsko Lake, one of the most famous natural attractions, is 20 kilometers away from the household.

Dulović family is made of seven members. Spouses Dragan and Gordana, together with their children work hard on their farm and successfully complement village tourism to husbandry and agriculture.

Their basic activity is husbandry but they are into agriculture, as well. They grow vegetables in the garden, for themselves and  their guest can take part in the works during the summer. Gordana produces Kolašinski Lisnati (layered) cheese, all the visitors can observe her doing it or they can participate in producing this branded product.

Dulović household is situated at the foot of Sinjajevina mountain, at the crossroads of mountain trails that lead to the surrounding peaks, 12 km away from Kolašin. Kolašin is a town where one can see cultural-historical monuments such as Memorial Home, Homeland Museum, Partisan Memorial graveyard, numerous monuments dedicated to significant people from history. Monastery Morača, which dates back to 1252 is also close to Kolašin, as well as one of the most attractive canyons in the vicinity, the canyon of the river Mrtvica with an imposing bridge over it. National Park Biogradska Gora is 16 km away from Kolašin.
