Šekularac family lives in the village Kurikuće. The household is made of Živko and Milka. They’ve got a son and two daughters. Živko is a retired teacher, he had been a primary school principal for a long time. Milka is a retired accountant. Their family tradition is beekeeping. At the moment, there are around thirty hives in the household.
Šekularac family is involved in many activities within their household. One of them is beekeeping. They have got an orchard where they grow numerous types of apples, plums, pears, cherries, sour cherries and others. They use these for making jams, juices and so on. They have also got a garden where they try to grow organic vegetables and then they make pepper spread or different types of salads from it.
Šekularac household is situated close to Berane, at the foothill of the mountain Bjelasica. There is an asphalt road leading to the household. This area is abundant in beautiful scenery, some of them are the glacier lakes – Šiško lake and Ursulovačko lake and they attract a lot of tourists during summer. There is also a macadam road next to the household leading to the peaks of Bjelasica. Tourists can swim in the lake, ride a horse and pick blueberries.
